I love the model and my children love school, but are what are they really learning?

Here’s the answer I give every time I am given the opportunity…

Your children are learning academic skills, at the level at which they choose to pursue them. They are learning how to be good friends and contributing members of a community. They are learning emotional resilience and grit. They are able to speak up for themselves and speak with kindness to others. Your children are engaging in hands-on learning quests that allow them to explore their passions and talents in ways they have never been able to before. And above all else, they are learning who they were made to be and how they can make the world a better place.

It’s a beautiful process to witness – seeing heroes answer the call and overcome all obstacles with the assistance of mentors and helpers. I wouldn’t change it for the world.
