A Year of New Beginnings

Welcome to 2021! We hope it finds you well and optimistic for what is ahead. At Acton Academy, we are constantly analyzing the hero’s journey, and as we reflect on what was and look forward to what will be, we return to the normal world ready for a new adventure to begin.

In 2019, my husband and I answered the call to adventure. When the unsettling feelings of the limited educational options available became too much to bear, we decided to begin the quest to provide something new. Along the way, we have met mentors and have faced many challenges, but if 2020 taught us anything, it is that the drive that is within you will make the vision God has given you happen.

The past year has been filled with numerous blessings – our resilient geniuses, our studio locations, our outstanding guides and our top-notch founding families. Without each person answering their own call to adventure, this journey would not be as magical as it truly is.

I have witnessed young heroes face their fears and find new ways to approach challenges. I am fortunate to mentor guides each day that are giving it 110% to make the Courage to Grow mission happen. And the trust of our families is remarkable. I will say it over and over again.

One of our founding principles is to encourage all humans to continue learning all of their lives. The best part of this adventure is getting to witness willing heroes exercise courage to be the best version of themselves. What they are learning is far beyond what I ever dreamed could happen in Year One.

The atonement that occurs when all of the dust settles and you have a clear mirror before you is miraculously beautiful. And then you prepare yourself for the next iteration of the same journey. So here we are, ready for a new adventure!

With the new year, we have welcomed new learners, new families, new guides, and a new building. And now, we are inviting you.

As we plan for our Next Great Adventure, we would like to invite you to learn more about our mission and how this little school is changing the world. If you have questions or would like your own copy of Courage to Grow by Laura Sandefer, please email us at info@actonfallcreek.org to answer your own call to adventure.

With Gratitude,

Lyndie
